I started planning our Halloween costumes more than a month ago. Yes, in August. My boys share my love for costumes and parties. We usually over do the decorations too. I had decided to be practical and not add any spider webs or pumpkins to the front of the house until October. I almost made it!
I was happy to add to my decorations this year with a super cute wreath for the front door. Want to make your own?It is easy. Seriously, it was a few yards of ribbon over a floral wreath form. I added some spider webbing behind it and was all finished. It took about 10 minutes to complete.
I started decorating before I picked the boys up from school. I brought them home and let them pick an afternoon snack. They always go straight for NESQUIK® Ready to Drink chocolate milk. Plus they found the NESTLÉ® Jumbo Assorted Fun Size Candy. (I bought it when I was at Walmart for the second time this week. It seems like I always forget something on my list.) They wanted a piece before helping me. It is hard to say NO to my little monsters so I let them finish and put them to work! We have plenty of spiders and webs around our house. I added some more just to save the spiders from working overtime.
When I was at the store, I also grabbed our other favorites. Macaroni & Cheese and Tombstone® Pizza. I think my Jay would eat macaroni 5 nights a week if I let him. STOUFFER'S® Family Size Entrées make it easy to feed my monsters. I popped it in the oven before we went outside to decorate. We even made our kitchen scary. I haven't cleaned the stove in weeks. I did it just for Halloween. Ha ha ha ha.
The boys wanted to use some of the decorations to set up our table for dinner. Once the timer went off, we sat down to eat.
We only have a month before our Halloween Party. I have so much to do over the next few weeks. I have a feeling we will be buying a few more of the STOUFFER'S® Family Size Entrées for dinner. They will help take the guesswork out of menu after a long day. Make sure to check back on the blog this month; I plan to share what I came up with for our group costume; make sure to check back and see pictures. I will also share our party prep.
