Two Weeks! I don't know about you but our Summer Break seemed to fly by! Working from home, summer camp, and visits to see Grandma kept our family busy. The boys have one more visit to Phoenix and then hopefully we can get on a school schedule. Thankfully Sam and Jay are excited to go back to school. I did 95% of our Back to School shopping at Walmart this year. The boys loved to pick out a new backpack, folders and binders. They even had fun picking out new underwear and socks. It doesn't take much to keep my boys happy. No trip to Walmart is complete without snacks.

As we came around the corner we found a HUGE display of Rice Krispies Treats.
The boys immediately asked to buy some. I can be a pushover so I threw them into the cart. (Plus it kept them from asking 10 more times before I gave in.) When I saw the 1 BOX = 1 BOOK promo on the package, I decided to look for other Kellogg's products. Cereal is always easy in the mornings as long as they don't spill the milk.

The Nutri Grain bars are a quick solution for all the mornings we will be rushing out the door. I hope it doesn't take long for us to get on a schedule for school mornings. At least they can eat in the car, right?

After the boys went to summer camp, I emptied the box into their snack cabinet. I took apart the box to find my code for a FREE BOOK. Patience is in short supply when it comes to book nerd like me. Once I start reading, I have to finish the book. I love that my boys have the same love for reading. The faster I entered the code, the faster our new book would be added to the boys' book shelf.

The directions are quite simple. I used my laptop to set up the required Kellogg's Family Rewards account. Each code you enter earns you a free book. You can redeem 30 books between now and 3/31/16 so make sure to save those codes. Books are mailed to you free of charge. You can even choose an e-book for one of your devices. For full program details and a list of all 80 titles including Spanish titles, click on this link:  http://cbi.as/gfgc

When you go the website, you will be brought to this screen:

Once you click on the ENTER CODE NOW button, it will prompt you to set up a new account or you can connect your Facebook account. Type in the contact information and answer a few questions. Then you will be brought to a screen that says CONGRATS! and you can then enter the code in the appropriate spot.

If you prefer to shop online, you can also earn free books. Purchase online at Walmart.com and then either upload, text or scan the receipt into the Kellogg's Family Rewards app between 7/21/15 and 9/11/15.

You can enter additional codes if you have them, or go to the next step in redeeming your free book. You can even choose to donate a book. I think we will send some books to the Flagstaff Family Food Center. They feed homeless and low income families every day. They even have a corner set up for kids, they can do homework and read books. The staff also allows to the kids to take a book with them each time they stop by to eat dinner. The center could greatly benefit from a donation.

The books are arranged alphabetically but you can also sort by reading level. My boys are in Kindergarten so I looked through the choices for Beginning Readers.

Add your book selection(s) to the shopping cart, checkout and complete your order.
Books are mailed in 6 to 8 weeks (but will probably arrive sooner.)
